Following on from the previous post about the POS systems here in Jamaica. The tedious long lines at ATMs and the lengthy processes in general.
One process that is not currently available here in Jamaica is cash withdrawal at POS with a Debit Card. A simple facility that is so very popular and convenient in the modern world of banking.
I'm recalling the days when person's were able to cash a cheque at the Supermarket. There does not seem to be any reason why this facility could not be made available, at least at Supermarket retailers here. The cash back facility is really just adding a cash withdrawal to the final bill.
